Things All Stay The Same
I noticed this during my company’s Chinese New Year event. We Asians were waiting for people to come and join the event. Then this white guy came in and said, “xin nian kuai le.” Then this fobby Chinese girl was surprised on how a foreigner would know such a phrase.
It never surprises me how fobby Asian people would not think that no one would learn their language. I would figure that they would be jaded by now. Even when I speak Japanese or some tacky Chinese phrase to people, they look at me in shock.
So we shouldn’t be surprised anymore. We should save our shock when people start conversing fluently in a foreign language. That’s a lot more sexier. It’s a lot better than a butchered phrase.
My Personality Profile
I took this like 7 months ago, and it sometimes changes. But my personality is ISTP. What do you guys think? Does that fit me well?
