It’s All The Same
I went to a friend’s sister’s sweet 16 birthday party. I was there to chaperon the little kids. You know, in case some punk brings in drugs or alcohol. I was observing the kids’ behavior, and it wasn’t much different than what I was expecting.
All the girls were going crazy having fun. And all the boys sat in the corner looking nervous and bored. They tried to look cool and macho to hide their shyness. Only a few boys were extroverted enough to venture out into the dance floor to dance with the girls.
This is not any different than how adults act in clubs. That’s why there’s alcohol in the clubs, so guys can have fun. Or else it would be just girls dancing with guys just moping around watching them. Oh wait, that still happens even with drinks.
